Being a pet parent isn’t just about the everyday duties of feeding, walking, and playing. Every so often the bigger stuff like grooming has to get done. I used to have the time to get my toy poodle Supreme groomed whenever there was an available appointment. I’d drop her off, run errands, then pick her back up. But things changed once I began working full time.
In the past, when Supreme got to the point of needing to be groomed, I’d asked family members to either drop her off or pick her up for me. There were times I’d get the earliest appointment available, requested an express package (which costs more money), dropped her off, and picked her back up all before being at work at 9 am.
It was stressful to both of us; however, she had to be groomed and I couldn’t miss work. So I rejoiced when I discovered mobile grooming for my pet care!
Mobile Pet Care
The appointment process was less than fifteen minutes including a price quote.
$75 for: nail clipping, detailed brushing, shampoo, ear cleaning, massage, and blowdry. They also provide de-shedding treatments, aloe treatments, pad treatment, flea/tick shampoos, Frontline flea, and tick applications just to name a few.
The groomer arrived in her mobile van and we spoke for a few minutes about Supreme’s medical condition. She was thorough, understanding, and professional. I felt confident about my dog in her care. Grooming took about two hours but most appointments are only an hour.
While my dog was getting groomed, I was able to do laundry and get some much-needed house chores done. The groomer was welcoming and chipper each time I tapped on the van door to check on Supreme. The van was self-sufficient with its own water and electricity supply. The windows were slightly tinted but clear enough to see into.
When the appointment was complete, the groomer provided the price, which was exactly as quoted the day before, and I was able to pay with my debit card.
You don’t have to alter your day for your pet to look great (your car either for that matter). Mobile groomers provide the same services as stationary groomers, can be paid by card, allow you to check on your pet during the process, and is one on one. Mobile grooming is perfect for the pet parent with a busy schedule.
